Welcome to the SilverCosmos – where gift ideas find their true form.

About SilberVerse

A silver gift preserves the memory of a day. A SilberVerse holds the thought behind the gift — creatively crafted, tailored to the occasion, to the child, to the person. Upon request, we include it free of charge with your order: printed on high-quality photo paper in the standard format 15×10 cm, with your name, your date, your message. Words that accompany the piece as long as it is worn, displayed, or kept.

What a SilberVerse is

SilberVerse are short, creatively written poems or messages. No standard formulas, no off-the-shelf greeting cards — but tailored to the specific occasion and person. Three to four stanzas, carried by the rhythm of the German language, grown from what you tell us about the occasion, recipient, and mood. Each card is unique, custom-made to your specifications.

SilberVerse are printed as a photo card in the standard format 15×10 cm — included free of charge upon request. The card is designed on one side like a classic photo, high-quality on photo paper. Other formats (e.g., square or XL) are possible as a special order; we will provide an individual quote for these.

The card bears your dedication: child's name, date, occasion reference, plus the verse itself. The design matches the occasion — neutral, in boy or girl tones, whatever is appropriate.

Framed, not loose. We don't just put the finished card in the gift package — we place it in a suitable standard picture frame for you. Three frame colors are available: silver, white, and black. We will coordinate the frame color with the card design and occasion — usually white or silver goes with light motifs, black or silver with sacred or darker tones. If you have a preference, please let us know when you inquire. You will receive the card ready for framing: set it up, hang it, put it on a shelf — it will be immediately visible next to the silver piece, and both will stay together.

Why we give away words — for free

There's a simple idea behind SilberVerse: A gift doesn't come alone. It comes with an intention. With an occasion. With a relationship between the giver and the receiver. For a silver gift — which often accompanies generations — this intention is particularly dense. And it deserves more than "Congratulations on the birth."

A SilberVerse makes the invisible readable. It translates what's behind the gift into language. If the child who receives the cup today rummages through a box of mementos in twenty years — they will find the silver and the card next to it. Both tell of the same day. But only the card tells in words what mother, father, godparent, or grandparents wanted to give them back then.

We charge nothing for SilberVerse in the standard format. They are not an additional service, but part of our understanding of what giving means. Anyone who orders a silver piece from us and requests a SilberVerse receives it as an enclosure — at no extra charge, no minimum order value, no fine print. The only requirement is an inquiry via our contact form, so we know for whom we are writing.

How a SilberVerse is created — four steps

  1. Send inquiry. Via our SilberVerse inquiry form or by replying to your order confirmation email. If you are currently engraving, it's best to do it together with the engraving inquiry.
  2. Exchange. We ask: recipient's name, occasion, date, mood. What would you like to convey — comfort, courage, joy, gratitude? Is there an image, a symbol, a memory that should be woven in?
  3. Writing and Designing. Depending on the request, we create in two ways: For text requests (verses, sayings, personal messages), we create the text and design the card as a unique piece — custom-made to your data. For requests with your own pictures, family crests, or special symbols, we work with high-quality templates that we adapt individually for you. In both cases, you will receive a preview for approval.
  4. Printing and Enclosure. After your approval, the card is printed on photo paper and included with the order. It arrives with the silver piece, in a protective sleeve, at no extra charge.

From the first contact to the finished card, it usually takes two to three business days — for urgent occasions, we are faster. Just let us know.

Occasions we accompany with SilberVerse

We write for life moments where words matter — and where standard congratulations are not enough. These are the most common occasions we encounter:

  • Birth and Baptism. The most frequent occasion — and the most literarily dense. Godparent promises, wishes for a life's journey, protective images. Naturally fits all baptism gifts made of 925 silver.
  • Love and Partnership. Wedding, anniversary, quiet moments in between. A verse here is often more direct than any greeting card.
  • Remembrance and Commemoration. When a gift reminds of someone who is no longer here. Here, verses find tones that ordinary words cannot convey.
  • Gratitude and Friendship. Godmothers, mentors, people who have supported you through life. A silver piece with a verse is an unusual form of thank you.
  • New Beginnings and Encouraging Moments. First apartment, new job, difficult diagnosis, encouragement in a crisis. Words that sustain.

You choose the occasion — we set the tone. An overview of all suitable gifts can be found in the gift ideas made of 925 silver.

SilberVerse and Engraving — the Pair

An engraving bears a name, date, perhaps a short dedication. Little space, clear words. A SilberVerse complements this: It makes room for the longer message that doesn't fit into an engraving. Both together — engraving on silver, verse on card — form a double memory. One is tactile and material, the other literary and personal.

If you're wondering how engraving works, what's possible, and what it costs: Our engraving service explains it in detail. You can inquire about SilberVerse at the same time — we coordinate both.

Frequently Asked Questions about SilberVerse

What does a SilberVerse cost?
In the standard format 15×10 cm: nothing. We create the card, verse, and print for free — the prerequisite is an inquiry via our contact form along with or for your order. Other formats (square, XL, special requests) are possible as a special order; we will make you an individual offer for these.

How long does it take to create?
From the first contact to the finished card, it usually takes two to three business days. For time-critical occasions — baptism tomorrow, wedding the day after tomorrow — we are faster. Just tell us the date.

Can I make specifications?
Yes, very gladly. Some parents have a favorite poet, a favorite image, a word that keeps coming up — we incorporate that. If you don't provide any specifications, we write freely based on the key data of occasion, name, and mood. The preview will then come to you, and you approve it or request adjustments.

What if I don't want a verse, but my own words?
Also possible. We will then design the card for your own text — with the same photo paper print, the same format, the same care. Just tell us: "Card design without verse, my text is attached."

How do I combine SilberVerse with engraving?
Both are handled via the same inquiry. In the SilberVerse inquiry form, you state the occasion, recipient, and wish — we then take care of engraving and SilberVerse in parallel. One contact person, one process.

Will my SilberVerse be published?
Only with your express consent. We publish selected verses anonymously in our SilberVerse blog as inspiration for others — names, dates, and personal details always remain private. If you do not wish this, your verse will remain completely confidential.

Do I receive a preview before printing?
Always. You will receive the finished card design as a preview for approval before we print. Change requests are not a problem — until it's just right.

Does the card come with a frame or loose?
With a frame. We place the finished card in a standard picture frame — three colors are possible: silver, white, or black. By default, we select the frame color based on the card design and occasion (light motifs usually white or silver, sacred or darker tones in silver or black). If you have your own preference, please let us know in the inquiry — then we will place the card directly in your desired frame.
