A silver gift preserves the memory of a day. A SilberVerse captures the sentiment behind the gift — creatively crafted, tailored to the occasion, to the child, to the person. Upon request, we include it free of charge with your order: printed on high-quality photographic paper in standard format 15×10 cm landscape or 10×15 cm portrait, with your name, your date, your message. Words that accompany the piece as long as it is worn, displayed, or kept.

Request SilberVerseWhat a SilberVerse is
SilberVerse are short, creatively crafted poems or messages. No standard formulas, no off-the-shelf greeting cards — but tailored to the specific occasion and the specific person. Three to four stanzas, carried by the rhythm of the German language, grown from what you tell us about the occasion, the recipient, and the mood. Each card is unique, custom-made to your specifications.
SilberVerse are printed as photo cards in standard format 15×10 cm — landscape or portrait, depending on what the motif requires. Included free of charge upon request. The card is designed on one side like a classic photo, high-quality on photographic paper. Other formats (e.g., square or XL) are possible as custom orders; we will provide an individual quote for these.
The card bears your dedication: child's name, date, occasion reference, and the verse itself. The design matches the occasion — neutral, in boy or girl tones, depending on what fits.
Framed, not loose. We don't just put the finished card in the gift package — we place it for you in a suitable standard picture frame. Four frame colors are available: White, Silver, Grey, and Black. We will coordinate the color with the card design and occasion — light motifs usually feature White, Silver, or Grey, while sacred and darker tones lean towards Silver or Black. If you have a preference, please let us know when you inquire. And if you prefer the card without a frame, please also mention that — then we will include it in a simple sleeve, so you can frame it yourself or pass it on. You will receive the card ready for framing: set it up, hang it, put it on a shelf — it will be immediately visible next to the silver piece; both remain together.
Why we give away words — for free
There's a simple idea behind SilberVerse: A gift doesn't come alone. It comes with an intention. With an occasion. With a relationship between the giver and the receiver. For a silver gift — which often accompanies generations — this intention is particularly strong. And it deserves more than "Happy Birthday."
A SilberVerse makes the invisible readable. It translates what's behind the gift into language. When the child who receives the cup today rummages through a box of keepsakes in twenty years — they will find the silver and the card next to it. Both tell of the same day. But only the card tells in words what mother, father, godparent, or grandparents wanted to give them at that time.
We do not charge a single cent for SilberVerse in standard format. They are not an additional service, but part of our understanding of what giving means. Anyone who orders a silver piece from us and requests a SilberVerse receives it as an enclosure — at no extra cost, no minimum order value, no small print. The only prerequisite is the request via our contact form so that we know for whom we are writing.
How a SilberVerse is created — four steps
- Send inquiry. Via our SilberVerse inquiry form or by reply email to your order confirmation. If you are currently engraving, it's best to do it together with the engraving inquiry.
- Exchange. We ask: recipient's name, occasion, date, mood. What do you want to convey — comfort, courage, joy, gratitude? Is there an image, a symbol, a memory that should be woven in?
- Drafting and Designing. Depending on the request, we create in two ways: For text requests (verses, sayings, personal messages), we create the text and design the card as a unique piece — custom-made to your data. For requests with your own pictures, family crests, or special symbols, we work with high-quality templates that we adapt individually for you. In both cases, you will receive a preview for approval.
- Printing and Inclusion. After your approval, the card is printed on photographic paper, framed, and included with the order. It arrives protected with the silver piece, at no extra charge.
From the first contact to the finished card, it usually takes two to three working days — for urgent occasions, we are faster. Just let us know.
Occasions we accompany with SilberVerse
We write for life moments where words matter — and where standard congratulations are not enough. These are the occasions we encounter most frequently:
- Birth and Baptism. The most frequent occasion — and the most poetically rich. Godparent promises, wishes for a life's journey, protective imagery. Naturally fits with all 925 sterling silver baptism gifts.
- Love and Partnership. Wedding, anniversary, quiet moments in between. A verse here is often more direct than any greeting card.
- Remembrance and Memorial. When a gift reminds of someone who is no longer here. Here, verses find tones that ordinary words cannot capture.
- Gratitude and Friendship. Godmothers, mentors, people who have carried you through life. A silver piece with a verse is an unusual form of thank you.
- New Beginnings and Encouraging Moments. First apartment, new job, serious diagnosis, encouragement in a crisis. Words that uplift.
You choose the occasion — we set the tone. An overview of all suitable gifts can be found in our 925 sterling silver gift ideas.
SilberVerse and Engraving — the Pair
An engraving bears a name, date, perhaps a short dedication. Little space, clear words. A SilberVerse complements this: It creates space for the longer message that doesn't fit into an engraving. Both together — engraving on silver, verse on card — form a double memory. One is tactile and material, the other literary and personal.
If you're wondering how engraving works, what's possible, and what it costs: Our engraving service explains it in detail. You can request SilberVerse there at the same time — we coordinate both.
Frequently Asked Questions about SilberVerse
What does a SilberVerse cost?In standard format 15×10 cm: nothing. We create the card, verse, and print free of charge — provided an inquiry is made via our contact form together with or in addition to your order. Other formats (square, XL, special requests) are possible as custom orders; we will provide you with an individual quote for these.
How long does it take to create?
From the first contact to the finished card, it usually takes two to three working days. For time-critical occasions — baptism tomorrow, wedding the day after tomorrow — we are faster. Just let us know the date.
Can I make specifications?
Yes, very gladly. Some parents have a favorite poet, a favorite image, a word that keeps recurring — we incorporate that. If you don't provide any specifications, we write freely based on the key data of occasion, name, and mood. The preview will then come to you, and you can approve it or request adjustments.
What if I don't want a verse, but my own words?
Also possible. We will then design the card for your own text — with the same photo paper print, the same format, the same care. Just tell us: "Card design without verse, my text is attached."
How do I combine SilberVerse with engraving?
Both are handled through the same inquiry. In the SilberVerse inquiry form, you specify the occasion, recipient, and wish — we then take care of engraving and SilberVerse in parallel. One contact person, one process.
Will my SilberVerse be published?
Only with your explicit consent. We publish selected verses anonymously in our SilberVerse blog as inspiration for others — names, dates, and personal details always remain private. If you do not wish this, your verse will remain completely confidential.
Do I receive a preview before printing?
Always. You will receive the finished card design as a preview for approval before we print. Change requests are no problem — until it's perfect.
Does the card come with a frame or loose?
Standard with a frame. We place the finished card in a standard picture frame in the format 15×10 cm — four colors are possible: White, Silver, Grey, or Black. We select the color according to the card design and occasion (light motifs usually White, Silver, or Grey, sacred or darker tones rather Silver or Black). If you have your own preference, please let us know in your inquiry — then we will place the card directly in your preferred frame. And if you prefer it without a frame, that's also possible: Then it will come to you in a simple sleeve.
