Material and craftsmanship

At the tip of the handle sits a decorative clock face with the numerals 12, 3, 6, and 9, framed by baroque tendrils—the hands are intentionally omitted and are added during engraving to indicate the time of birth. Below this follows the central motif: a little girl holding a teddy bear, designed with a playful, childlike aesthetic and clear contours. A cloud scene opens in the middle of the handle, with two oval engraving fields below for birth weight and birth length. The wide, oval bowl forms the functional end.
