Material and Workmanship

At the tip of the handle, a decorative dial with the numbers 12, 3, 6, and 9 is enthroned, framed by baroque tendrils — the hands are deliberately omitted and are inserted as the birth time during engraving. Below follows the central motif: a small girl holding a teddy bear, playfully childlike with clear contours. In the middle of the handle, a cloud scene opens up, below which are two oval engraving fields for birth weight and birth height. The wide, oval spoon bowl forms the functional end.
