Personalized Christening Set 925 Silver Sitting Teddy — Rattle + Birth Spoon, both engravable

This personal baptism set from SilberKosmos unites two individual Zaramella pieces featuring the same motif: the rattle with a stem, featuring a seated teddy and a smooth handle, and the matching birth spoon with a clock face, clouds, and a teddy at the end of the stem. Both pieces are made of 925 sterling silver and each features its own engraving area—the rattle bears a name, and the spoon bears a birth date on the back of its stem.

Material and Shape

The head of the rattle features the teddy in full relief: it sits upright, wears a bowtie, and its paws rest close to its rounded body. Below this, the handle is completely smooth and ends in a teardrop shape; it measures approximately 13 cm in length and weighs about 20 g. At the top of its stem, the birth spoon features a round clock face next to a small teddy figure, with several clouds trailing down the stem; its oval bowl remains high-polished, and the weight is approximately 28 g. In total, the baptism set weighs about 48 g—both pieces come from the Italian silversmith Zaramella.

The Teddy as a Motif

For generations, the teddy has been considered a familiar comfort figure of childhood, a symbol of closeness and security. While the rattle accompanies a baby’s first weeks of grasping, on the spoon, the teddy is placed next to the clock face and clouds, near the very moment of birth—a motif that serves as a lifelong reminder of the day it all began.

The Seated Teddy Family

We also offer the same bear on the decorated stem rattle(without an engraving area), the teether rattle, as well as in the gift set and the DoDo Set Orange. For a flatter contour, we also carry a baptism set with a teddy silhouette. If you prefer an image of the night sky instead of a bear, you can also find our Stars & Moon Baptism Set.

Engraving and SilberVerse Card

The smooth rattle handle can be engraved with a name, and the back of the spoon's stem with a birth date. To add engraving, please add the engraving service flat rate to your cart, and we will determine the text with you afterward. If you wish, you can also receive a SilberVerse card on request, free of charge: the verse has 3–4 lines, suits the name and occasion and is set in the language you choose. It is printed on a 15 × 10 cm photo card that comes in a standard frame in white, silver or black. You can find more details on how this works on the About SilberVerse page.

Care

The set can be cleaned with lukewarm water and a drop of mild detergent; afterward, dry both pieces with a soft cloth. A silver polishing cloth used with even, gentle pressure helps around the engraving. Do not use abrasive cleaners or a dishwasher on either piece. Like any rattle, this should only be used by children under supervision.
