Description
A coffee set made of 925 sterling silver, highly polished, consisting of a classic Turka — the Turkish coffee pot — with a traditional black turned-wood handle and a matching mocha spoon with a branch-like stem. Both pieces feature sculptural rose decorations as three-dimensional accents: detailed rose blossoms modeled on the side of the Turka's body and a lush rose bouquet as the finial of the spoon handle. We call this design "Rosalia" as a direct reference to the rose motif. Delivered in a velvet-lined premium case, ready for gifting.

Material and Craftsmanship
Both pieces — Turka and spoon — are crafted from 925 sterling silver, meaning 92.5% fine silver, solid throughout. The surface is highly polished; the rose sculptures are made from the same material and also have a high-gloss finish: no gold plating, no black inlays, no patina — 925 sterling silver in its classic appearance. The mocha spoon is thematically coordinated with the Turka: the handle is modeled as a delicate rose vine, with hinted vine lines and small leaf accents, and is topped with a lush, sculptural rose bouquet made of several stacked blossoms. The piece is entirely cast from 925 sterling silver; handle and rose crown are from a single mold, not glued or soldered — the fine modeling of the individual petals can be felt when held between the fingers. Important to know: Silver tarnishes over time in everyday use, a chemical reaction with sulfur compounds in the air. On highly polished pieces, this appears after a few months as a light yellow to gray tone, which can be transformed back to a mirror finish in minutes with a soft silver polishing cloth.
Usage and Occasions
The Turka is the traditional tool for Turkish, Greek, and Armenian mocha: a bulbous shape, wide neck, and a long wooden handle used to heat the pot over an open flame. Water, finely ground mocha coffee, and sugar are heated over a small flame until the foam rises, then served in mocha cups — mocha as a ritual, not just a function. The Rosalia set carries a clear connotation of love and appreciation and is suitable for occasions where silverware with an emotional connection is to be gifted: as a symbolic gift for the rose wedding on the fourth anniversary, as a top-tier silverware gift for a silver or gold wedding anniversary, for a milestone birthday of a partner or mother, as an engagement gift, or as a family heirloom to be passed on to the next generation.
Engraving and SilberVerse Card
Both pieces of the set can be engraved after inspection — this is particularly meaningful for a wedding or anniversary gift: the base of the Turka with the couple's discreet initials, the wedding date, or a short dedication; the back of the spoon handle with initials or a monogram. Two different engravings are also possible, such as the couple's initials on the Turka and the date on the spoon. We will discuss the font, depth, and placement before execution; for high-value gifts, we recommend a sketch for approval in advance. As a personal addition, we also offer a free SilberVerse card in photo format, 15 × 10 cm landscape, digitally customized for the occasion and recipient.
Care
After preparing mocha, you should immediately rinse the inside of the Turka with lukewarm water, as coffee acids will otherwise attack the silver. Wipe the outside dry with a soft cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners and do not submerge in a sink. The wooden handle should not be soaked in water; wiping it with a damp cloth is sufficient. It is best to store the set in the included case, ideally with anti-tarnish strips.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Turka?
The Turka, also known as a Cezve or Turkish coffee pot, is the traditional vessel for Turkish mocha — a bulbous pot with a wide neck and a long handle, designed for preparation over an open flame. The shape has remained virtually unchanged since the Ottoman Empire.
What does the rose motif symbolize?
The rose is the classic symbol of love, elegance, grace, and quiet appreciation. In the tradition of silverware, it represents aristocratic dining culture, devotion to an occasion, and timeless beauty. On a mocha set, this translates into a calm, romantic moment of indulgence — the set is particularly suited for weddings and romantic occasions.
How does the Rosalia set differ from the Libellula set?
Both are from the ArgentA Classic collection, both include a Turka and a mocha spoon, and both are highly polished 925 sterling silver. Libellula features dragonfly sculptures — a lighter, nature-inspired motif representing change and summer. Rosalia features rose sculptures with a lush bouquet on the spoon — a classic, romantic motif representing love and elegance. Which set is the right one depends on the occasion and the recipient.
