With this 925 sterling silver baby spoon, the entire handle becomes the figure of a lying tomcat — featuring black enamel spots, pink paw pads, and an attentive gaze. At a glance
- Material: 925 sterling silver with colored enamel
- Finish: black enamel spots around the eyes, ears, and back, pink paw pads
- Motif: lying tomcat, entire stem shaped as a figure
- Length: approx. 12.5 cm
- Weight: approx. 23 g
- Collection: DoDo — Tactile Collection (Black-Grey variant, also available in Black-Orange)
Material and craftsmanship
The entire stem is modeled as a lying tomcat — head facing the bowl of the spoon, hind paws at the top end of the handle, with one paw showing its pink pads. The black enamel elements form the distinctive spots around the eyes, ears, and back, and are applied individually and fired at a high temperature. The polished silver shines through between the spots, creating the characteristic black-grey pattern. It is crafted as part of the DoDo Tactile Collection.
Occasions and target groups
The tomcat baby spoon appeals to parents, grandparents, and godparents looking for a gift for a birth, baptism, or first birthday that has personality. Especially popular with cat-loving families who want to give a keepsake with a familiar motif. For siblings, black-grey and black-orange make a fitting pair. For parents seeking something special — the lying tomcat as a handle is unusual and immediately eye-catching.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
Engraving is possible subject to inspection — name, date of birth, or a short message engraved on the back of the spoon bowl. Additionally, we offer a free, digitally designed SilberVerse card in a 15 × 10 cm photo format (landscape).
Care
Rinse with warm water and mild dish soap after each use and dry with a soft cloth. The enamel elements are fired on and can withstand normal cleaning. For light patina on the silver surfaces, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient. Not dishwasher safe.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the tomcat and the kitten spoons?
With the tomcat spoon, the entire handle is the cat figure, a lying cat that forms the complete stem. With the kitten spoons, a small motif sits at the top end of a normal handle.
What should I keep in mind regarding the baby spoon?
925 sterling silver consists of 92.5% fine silver and is flavor-neutral. The enamel elements are firmly fired and will not come off with normal use. Use the spoon only under supervision and clean it after each use.
Is there a matching rattle for the tomcat spoon?
Yes, the 925 silver tomcat baby rattle is the perfect companion featuring the same motif.
