Material and craftsmanship

The mug in this set is crafted from 925 sterling silver and features the same crayfish niello-engraved medallion as our solo version. The matching round silver tray is also made of 925 sterling silver, featuring a subtle niello ornament on the rim that complements the mug without duplicating it. On the table, the mug sits on the tray as if on a small stage — the silver of the tray reflects the silver of the mug, and the niello lines harmonize beautifully. Practically, the tray also protects your tabletop from condensation and scratches. Both pieces originate from Russian silversmithing, which we curate for our silver universe.

Usage and occasions

This set is intended for the man who already possesses much yet still appreciates being surprised. For collectors and connoisseurs of Russian silver, the combination of a mug, matching tray, and leather box is a piece with context, not just a decorative item. For a corporate anniversary or retirement, when several people contribute to a gift worthy of the occasion, this set is in the right weight class. And for a milestone birthday, it stands proudly on the festive table before becoming part of a permanent collection. The blue crocodile-embossed leather gift box is more than just packaging: lined with velvet, it serves as a lasting storage solution for the mug and tray.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Upon review, engraving is possible on the mug (handle or foot ring), on the tray (rim or underside), or on both pieces — initials, a date, or a personal message. For every personalization, we create a complimentary 15 × 10 cm (landscape) photo-format SilberVerse card — digitally designed and unique to this specific gift.

Care

925 sterling silver requires hand washing with warm water and mild dish soap; do not use a dishwasher. The niello engraving remains unaffected — it does not oxidize or fade, but rather deepens its contrast with every polishing. If the silver tarnishes, a soft silver polishing cloth is sufficient. It is best to store the leather gift box in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ensuring it remains a worthy storage container for years to come.
