Material and workmanship
The blue surface on this frame is not a color coating, but guilloché enamel: under the crystal-clear enamel layer lies a finely engraved geometric pattern in the brass, which refracts the light and gives the surface different shades of blue depending on the angle — from light and shimmering to dark and deep. The oval picture opening is framed by a narrow gold-colored decorative strip, the wooden back provides stability, and the jeweler's glass protects the photo from dust and scratches.
Use and occasions
Small enough for a handbag, valuable enough for a desk: This frame accompanies you to the office, on travels, or simply stays on your bedside table. As a gift, it's perfect for birthdays, Mother's Day, or wedding anniversaries — a frame without an expiration date, into which you can place the currently most important photo and change it as needed.
Care
Clean the enamel surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth — do not use abrasive cleaners. Only wipe the gilded decorative strip dry to maintain its shine. Protect from continuous, direct sunlight so that the color retains its depth.
Frequently asked questions
Is the frame made of silver?
No. It is made of gilded brass — no silver included.
Why does the enamel shimmer differently depending on the light?
The engraved pattern under the transparent enamel refracts the light differently depending on the angle. This is the characteristic feature of genuine guilloché enamel.
What photo size is the inner cutout intended for?
The oval cutout is suitable for small portrait photos. It's best to print the photo a little larger and cut it to size.
