Material and craftsmanship

All 24 pieces are made of 925 sterling silver and feature the Festive collection's relief pattern in the upper handle area, complemented by a Niello inlay. Niello is an ancient refinement technique: a black inlay is fused into the engraved lines, sanded flush, and polished – like ink in silver, not a lacquer that could peel off. The dark tone of the inlay stands out clearly from the high-gloss polished surface and sharpens the clean lines of the relief. Over time and with regular polishing, this contrast deepens rather than fades. The cutlery is intended for the dining table.

Usage and occasions

A complete 24-piece cutlery set for six people is especially suitable for occasions where an entire table is being set for the first time or expanded. As a wedding gift, it directly meets the needs of a new shared household. For anniversaries or larger family gatherings, the set is ready to hand in its case and can be set out quickly. It is also a purchase that will be used for generations, whether for Christmas or as a gift to children and grandchildren setting up their first home.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

A personal engraving is possible for this set upon request, such as initials or a date on the handle. Since the suitable engraving area varies depending on the piece, we will clarify this with you on a case-by-case basis. Upon request, we can also include a personal SilberVerse card in 15 × 10 cm photo format — individually designed, tailored to the occasion, and free of charge. This also applies without an engraving order.

Care

Clean the set exclusively by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. The dishwasher is unsuitable, as aggressive detergents and high temperatures can damage both the Niello inlay and the polished surface. Store the cutlery in the supplied gift box; this protects it from humidity and dust. If the silver tarnishes over time, a special silver polishing cloth will help restore its original shine.

Frequently asked questions

No, we recommend hand washing only to preserve the shine of the silver and the Niello inlay.
