Material and workmanship

The cup, spoon, and fork are made of 925 sterling silver and feature the same teddy bear plaque in brown enamel: a bear with a white baker's hat and a golden crown, with a honey pot with a yellow honeycomb pattern underneath. The motif comes from the ArgentA manufactory. The cup has an ornamental handle for small hands, while the spoon and fork have rounded edges. Unlike similar girl or boy sets, this teddy bear variant does not use any color code.

Occasions and target groups

This set is particularly suitable as a christening gift if the child's gender is not yet known or if a specific color scheme is deliberately not desired. It is also a complete statement gift for grandparents or close friends for a birth, who want to give one large piece instead of several small gifts. For the first birthday, it accompanies the transition to independent eating with a spoon and fork. It is equally suitable for daughters, sons, twins, and siblings.

Care

925 sterling silver develops a gentle, darker patina over the years, which is completely normal. With a soft silver polishing cloth, the original shine returns in a few seconds. The brown enamel of the teddy bear plaque and the golden crown are colorfast and tolerate mild dish soap. We advise against using a dishwasher, as heat and aggressive tabs could damage the enamel in the long run. Hand washing with mild soap is perfectly sufficient.

Is the set equally suitable for girls and boys?
Yes. The teddy bear is a classic gender-neutral motif without a color-coded gender accent and is particularly suitable if the child's gender is not yet known.

From what age can the set be used?
The cup is suitable as a drinking cup from about 12 months, before that rather as a keepsake. The spoon and fork are used from the complementary feeding phase from about 6 months, with the spoon being used first.

What can be engraved on the cup?
The belly surface offers space for a name of up to about 15 characters plus birth date underneath, or for a short two-line dedication. We will be happy to advise you on the appropriate font size.
