All three pieces are crafted from solid 925 sterling silver and highly polished, without enamel or gilding — the beauty lies solely in the polished silver. The Imperator embellishment adorns the handle of the spoon and fork: a fine relief of a wave pattern, a laurel or palm leaf motif at the top of the handle, and a small palmette at the end of the handle. The knife's shape changes slightly — a more voluminous handle with a wave shaft and a round pommel, as dictated by the classic table silver tradition of the 18th and early 19th centuries. All elements are incorporated as reliefs, not engravings, and withstand daily use without wearing out.
