925 Sterling Silver Rocking Horse Baby Rattle — Teether, on rocker

925 Sterling silver rocking horse baby rattle: a horse in profile, head slightly turned, mane and tail crafted as a fine relief – standing not on straight legs, but on a curved rocker base. Weighing around 19g, it is the only motif with movement among our rattles with teething rings. The motif is carried by a pearl-white acrylic ring – a gift for birth.

925 Sterling silver rocking horse baby rattle – movement instead of stillness

The horse features a mane and coiled tail as a raised, grooved relief, along with a similarly raised saddle strap – both clearly palpable against the smooth, curved body. Anyone running a finger from the smooth surface to the grooved mane will immediately feel the change: this gives little hands something to explore, not just to look at. At around 19g and 11cm in height, it is among the more substantial motifs in this series.

The motif: horse on a curved rocker base instead of straight legs

Instead of standing on four straight legs, the figure rests on a curved rocker – the shape of a classic nursery rocking horse, only cast in silver. This noticeably alters the silhouette: more dynamism, less stability in the clean lines, but a strong recognition factor.

Why a motion motif among all the quiet animal figures

Our duck, frog, and elephant rattles with teething rings stand or sit quietly on their own legs. The rocking horse is the only figure that suggests movement instead of capturing a moment of stillness – a difference that becomes immediately apparent when comparing the motifs.

Ring style, handle style, or acrylic ring – choosing the design for the rocking horse

This rocking horse is a pendant on an acrylic ring, intended for the first teething phase. Before this phase, a rattle made entirely of silver is better suited for small hands. If you would like a name engraved, the smooth handle style is the right choice.

Care for the rocking horse

The fine lines of the mane and tail as well as the curved rocker require slightly more care than a perfectly smooth surface: use a soft silver cloth and follow the lines rather than wiping across them. For the pearl-white acrylic ring, a damp cloth is sufficient. As with any baby toy, a child should only hold this horse under adult supervision.

Frequently asked questions about the rocking horse with teething ring
