Both parts consist of 925 sterling silver. The spoon is partially gold-plated: halo, cross, and sun bear a gold layer, while the rest remains a bright silver sheen. The pink enamel is applied as a colored ribbon in the relief indentations — a color, not a color gradient, clearly defined against the polished silver.
