Material and craftsmanship
A historic frigate – a multi-masted sailing ship with full rigging – is engraved on the hip flask using the traditional niello technique. The dark alloy is permanently set into the engraved grooves, delineating the ship with fine, deep-dark lines against the bright silver. Sails, rigging, and hull are executed in detail, surrounded by an ornamental frame with leaf tendrils. The flask itself is made of solid 925 sterling silver.
