Material and Workmanship

At the tip of the handle is a dial with the numbers 12, 3, 6, and 9, framed by baroque tendrils. Directly next to it stands a small mouse — upright, with large round ears and a long tail, complemented by balloons and circles that give the motif a festive atmosphere. In the middle of the handle is a large oval engraving field, significantly larger than the fields for grams and centimeters — it offers additional space for a birth date or a name directly on the front. In the lower handle area, two more fields for birth weight and birth height follow.
