That is exactly why it works in settings where other motifs might seem too playful: for a baptism, as a godparent’s gift, or for families who prefer a quiet aesthetic. At 22 grams, it is the lightest ring rattle in the series, tied with the teddy bear.

The only surface for a name

With the other motifs, the surface area is already occupied — a bear's head is shaped all the way around, and a sensory disc is covered in nubs. In contrast, the heart features an enclosed, calm surface, large enough for a name, a date, or both. We decide which method to use for this on a case-by-case basis rather than by pre-determined catalog standards — the wall thickness of the curved form dictates the approach.

Why the ring shape works early on

Smooth, enclosed, with no beginning and no end — this is exactly what makes the ring an ideal grip for a hand that cannot yet grasp purposefully. Where a handle requires practice, here, a random grab is enough.

Where the heart comes from

The heart originates from the Russian children’s series by ArgentA and is sourced directly from the manufacturer, bypassing the European market typically dominated by Italian goods. It comes packaged in the "Royal Childhood" box with a crown, tree of life, and silk ribbon; if you receive the lighter-colored tactile series box instead, it is not a difference in quality, just a different look.

Care

Tarnishing is quickly noticeable on the smooth, reflective surface; a soft silver polishing cloth restores the shine in just a few minutes.
