Zaramella 925 Sterling Silver Stars and Moon Gift Set — Baby Spoon + Ball Rattle

A spherical rattle has no edges and no attachments that could break off — unlike many figurative baby rattles. This two-piece gift set made of 925 sterling silver combines a round spherical rattle featuring a star, a crescent moon, and a fine dot relief with a baby spoon featuring a small star and crescent moon relief at the end of the handle. Zaramella crafts both pieces in Italy; they are high-gloss polished, without enamel and without gold plating.

Material and craftsmanship

The rattle head is a polished silver sphere with a star, a crescent moon, and a fine dot pattern worked into its surface — raised enough to be felt, without interrupting the round shape. At the end of the spoon's handle is a small raised relief of a star and crescent moon, while the back of the handle remains completely clear. Both pieces are made of pure 925 sterling silver, with no added color and no gold plating.

Occasions and target groups

The star is a neutral symbol and is suitable if you wish to give a gift before the birth or if the gender should not play a role. For a birth, the sphere accompanies the first months of grasping and listening, and the spoon is added when starting solid foods. For a baptism, the set represents a calm, understated note without colorful motifs — an alternative to enamel sets from other manufacturers.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Only the spoon can be engraved: the back of the handle is large and smooth, providing space for a first name and a date of birth. You can add the engraving by including the engraving service flat rate in your shopping cart, and we will coordinate the wording with you personally afterwards. The spherical rattle remains without engraving, as its relief of stars, crescent moons, and dots leaves no calm, smooth surface. Upon request, we can include a SilberVerse card with every engraving order — a short message written for the child and the occasion, printed as a photo in 15 × 10 cm format, at no extra cost. The SilberVerse card page shows how the card is created.

The individual pieces of this set

Both parts are also available individually in our range: the spherical rattle with star and crescent moon and the baby spoon with star & moon relief — this is the exact same spoon included in this set. If you are looking for a three-dimensionally shaped star head instead of the round sphere, you will find it in the set with handle rattle.

Care

Clean both parts with warm water and a little mild detergent and then rub them dry. For the fine dots on the sphere, a soft brush helps against patina in the recesses; otherwise, a polishing cloth is sufficient for a shine. Neither piece is intended for the dishwasher.

Frequently asked questions

Why a sphere instead of an animal figure?
The round shape is equally comfortable to hold from any direction, with no edges or attachments that could come loose.

Can the spoon be engraved, but not the rattle?
Exactly. The back of the spoon handle is smooth, while the sphere remains without engraving due to its relief.

From what age is the set suitable?
The sphere is suitable from birth as an object to grasp; the spoon is added with the start of solid foods from about six months.

Are the rattle and spoon also available individually?
Yes, you can also order both parts separately; the links can be found in the section on the individual pieces.
