Material and workmanship

The shape is cylindrical and classic — straight walls, slightly flared rim, stable base, no tulip-shaped curve like the large two-handled mug, but the traditional silver christening cup shape. The single handle is bent from a single piece of silver and sits on the right side of the cup; delicate volute ornaments are attached at the top and bottom, small silver scroll details that give the handle an almost baroque accent. For tarnishing, a silver polishing cloth without pressure helps — the delicate train relief, especially the wheel spokes and chimney, can be gently re-polished with a soft cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners. Not dishwasher safe, no silver dips, no aggressive cleaning agents. For storage, the included gift box or a velvet pouch is suitable, which minimizes tarnishing and preserves the high polish for years.
