The body is crafted from solid 925 sterling silver and features an encircling niello pattern: a dark silver alloy that has been applied into finely etched lines, chemically and physically bonding with the silver—not a lacquer, not a coating, but a technique known for some 3,000 years as “ink in silver.” The floral relief pattern is created in several steps: engraving, niello inlay, polishing, gold plating, and a final quality inspection.
