Spice bowl set, 925 sterling silver, gold-plated with niello | Astr...
Astra Gold — elegant spice presentation
Description
A small, refined set in 925 sterling silver: a spice bowl on a delicate foot with a fully gold-plated interior, and a matching mini spice spoon, both decorated with niello floral motifs. For sea salt, fleur de sel, a spice blend, or a spoonful of honey with tea – a set that shows even small quantities deserve an elegant presentation.
At a glance
- Material: 925 sterling silver, gold-plated, with hand-engraved niello
- Set includes: Footed spice bowl + mini spice spoon
- Bowl: Diameter 56 mm, height 32 mm, capacity 30 ml, weight approx. 47 g, fully gold-plated interior
- Spoon: Length 80 mm, width (bowl) 17 mm, weight approx. 6 g, gold-plated bowl with niello flower
- Total weight: approx. 53 g
Material and craftsmanship
The bowl rests on a slender foot, and its interior is fully gold-plated to a high polish – a warm, elegant surface for salt, spices, or honey. The exterior has a matte finish and features a continuous niello floral band with fully gold-plated accent flowers; the top rim and foot ring are also gold-plated. At 80 mm, the matching mini spoon is the smallest in its collection: its round bowl is gold-plated and bears a hand-engraved niello flower, while the matte-finish handle ends in another niello floral cluster; the reverse is fully gold-plated. Both pieces come from the same SevChern workshop.
Uses and occasions
With a capacity of 30 ml, the bowl is designed for individual servings: sea salt or fleur de sel for seasoning at the table, a spice blend while cooking, a spoonful of honey with tea, or jam at breakfast. The 80 mm spoon is perfectly proportioned for the small bowl – long enough to hold comfortably, yet short enough not to extend over the rim. The set makes a lovely gift for anyone who appreciates good food and stylish details, whether for a birthday, housewarming, or as a small but meaningful gesture just because.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
After reviewing your request, we can engrave a name, date, or short dedication on the bowl or spoon. If you wish, we can also include a personalized SilberVerse card in photo format (15 × 10 cm), designed to suit the occasion and provided free of charge.
Care
- Hand-wash: Use warm water and mild dish soap; do not put in the dishwasher
- No silver dip: The gold plating and niello inlays would be damaged
- Dry with a soft cloth: Dry immediately after washing
- Storage: In the gift box or wrapped in a soft cloth
Frequently asked questions
What is the spice bowl suitable for?
For sea salt, fleur de sel, spice blends, honey, jam, or small dips – anywhere an individual portion deserves an elegant presentation.
Why is the spoon so small?
At 80 mm, it is deliberately compact to suit the 30 ml bowl. A standard-size spoon would be too long and extend over the rim.
Can the set be engraved?
Yes, after review, both the bowl and spoon can be engraved. Add the flat fee to your cart via the engraving service; after you place your order, we’ll confirm the details with you and refund the fee if engraving is not possible.
