Description
A coffee set made of highly polished 925 sterling silver, consisting of a classic turka — the Turkish mocha pot — with a traditional black turned wooden handle and a matching mocha spoon with a branch stem. Both pieces feature sculptural rose designs as three-dimensional embellishments: detailed rose blossoms on the side of the turka's body and a lavish bouquet of roses crowning the spoon's handle. We call this design "Rosalia" — a direct reference to the rose motif. Delivered in a velvet-lined premium case, ready for gifting.

Material and Workmanship
Both pieces — the turka and the spoon — are crafted from 925 sterling silver, meaning 92.5% pure silver, solid throughout. The surface is highly polished, and the rose sculptures are made from the same material and are also highly polished: no gilding, no black inlay, no patination — pure sterling silver in its classic appearance. The mocha spoon is thematically matched to the turka: the handle is modeled as a delicate rose vine, with hinted tendril lines and small leaf accents, and is topped with a lavish sculptural bouquet of roses made of several stacked blossoms. The piece is entirely cast from 925 sterling silver, with the handle and rose crown cast as one piece, not glued or soldered — the fine modeling of the individual petals can be felt when held between the fingers. Important to know: pure silver will tarnish over time with daily use, a chemical reaction with sulfur compounds in the air. On highly polished pieces, this appears after a few months as a slight yellow to gray tint, which can be restored to a mirror shine in a few minutes with a soft silver polishing cloth.
Use and Occasions
The turka is the traditional tool for Turkish, Greek, and Armenian mocha: a bulbous shape, wide neck, and a long wooden handle with which the pot is heated over an open flame. Water, finely ground mocha coffee, and sugar are heated over a low flame until foam rises and then served in mocha cups — mocha as a ritual, not a function. The Rosalia set carries a clear connotation of love and appreciation and is suitable for occasions where silverware with emotional significance is to be given as a gift: for a rose wedding on the fourth wedding anniversary as a symbolic gift, for a silver or golden anniversary as a high-end silverware gift, for a partner's or mother's milestone birthday, as an engagement gift, or as a family heirloom to be passed on to the next generation.
Engraving and SilberVerse Card
Both pieces of the set can be engraved upon request — this is especially useful for a wedding or anniversary gift: the bottom of the turka with discreet initials of the couple, the wedding date, or a short dedication, the back of the spoon handle with initials or a monogram. Two different engravings are also possible, such as couple's initials on the turka and the date on the spoon. We will discuss the font, depth, and position before execution; for high-value gifts, we recommend a sketch for approval beforehand. As a personal addition, we also offer a free SilberVerse card in photo format, 15 × 10 cm in landscape orientation, digitally customized for the occasion and recipient.
Care
After preparing mocha, you should immediately rinse the inside of the turka with lukewarm water, otherwise, coffee acids will attack the silver. Wipe the outside dry with a soft cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse it in the sink. The wooden handle should not be soaked in water; wiping it with a damp cloth is sufficient. The set is best stored in the provided case, ideally with anti-tarnish strips.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a turka?
A turka, also called a cezve or Turkish coffee pot, is the traditional vessel for Turkish mocha — a bulbous pot with a wide neck and a long handle, made for preparation over an open flame. Its shape has remained practically unchanged since the Ottoman Empire.
What does the rose as a motif signify?
The rose is the classic symbol of love, elegance, grace, and quiet appreciation. In the tradition of silverware, it stands for aristocratic table culture, dedication to an occasion, and timeless beauty. On a mocha set, this translates into a tranquil, romantic moment of enjoyment — the set is particularly suitable for wedding and couple occasions.
How does Rosalia differ from the Libellula set?
Both come from the ArgentA Classic Collection, both include a turka and a mocha spoon, and both are highly polished 925 sterling silver. Libellula features dragonfly sculptures — a lighter, nature-inspired motif for change and summer. Rosalia features rose sculptures with a lavish bouquet on the spoon — a classically romantic motif for love and elegance. Which set is suitable depends on the occasion and the recipient.
