Material and craftsmanship

The creamer displays the classic botanical pattern of the Veliky Ustyug school: floral blossoms – roses and wildflowers – embedded in vines and leaves, circling the bulbous body. Deep black on satin-finished silver, fused into engraved depressions and chemically bonded with the base silver. Along the upper rim, a narrow zigzag frieze complements the main floral motif – a geometric contrast typical of niello work from Veliky Ustyug. Niello is created in several steps: engraving, melting, firing, grinding, and polishing, repeated several times. The result is insoluble – not a coating that fades over time, but part of the metal itself. The bulbous shape with the flared trumpet base, the curved spout, and the slender D-shaped handle makes the creamer stable and comfortable to hold.

Use and occasions

120 ml is sufficient for milk or cream for tea or coffee for two to three people. The creamer is intentionally designed as a connecting piece: it matches the 450 ml teapot as well as the 500 ml coffee pot – the same matte silver tone, the same niello ornament, the same design language. This allows the collection to be assembled in a modular fashion: teapot, coffee pot, creamer, and cup work equally well individually or as an ensemble. Care

Hand wash with lukewarm water and mild dish soap. No dishwasher, no silver dip bath. The niello band is permanently fused and will not be harmed by normal cleaning. The matte surface can be refreshed with a soft silver polishing cloth. Store in the gift box.
