Material and craftsmanship

The centerpiece of the set is the 925 sterling silver hip flask with a hand-engraved niello capercaillie motif — the capercaillie is one of the better-known motifs in Russian forest hunting. This is accompanied by three round silver plates with cross-dividers, which allow several foods to be arranged on one plate at the same time, as well as three shot glasses, three table spoons, and three table forks made of 925 silver. A hunting knife with a wooden handle and matching additional tools complement the set, along with three high-quality fabric napkins. The niello engraving on the hip flask is created using a black inlay that is melted into the engraved lines in an open flame, ground flush, and polished, remaining permanently bonded to the silver. The set is manufactured by SevChern in Veliky Ustyug.
