Material and craftsmanship
This tray deliberately eschews gold plating and all-over ornamentation. The outer rim is highly polished to capture the light, while the broad main surface is brushed in matte silver — quieter, more muted, and glare-free. In the center sits a small, round medallion framed by a fine circular ring: inside it, a stylized leaf and vine ornament, precisely engraved into the silver. The composition is intentionally focused — not the entire surface is decorated, but only a small circle in the middle, about one-quarter of the diameter. The rim is slightly raised and the center gently lowered — a subtle concavity that provides stability to the tray: a glass won't tip over while serving, and a carafe stands securely. 925 sterling silver means 92.5% fine silver — the internationally recognized sterling standard.
Use and occasions
This tray is suited for those who do not like things elaborate, but appreciate substance. A piece for a wedding that manages without golden sheen and, for that very reason, remains on the table for the long term. Simple and elegant for a housewarming. For a milestone anniversary or birthday: 925 sterling silver from Veliky Ustyug — this is not just a gesture, it is a statement. Silver without gold plating ages in its own unique way: it can tarnish, be polished, and develop a patina over time that makes it unmistakable.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
Engraving is possible upon review — feasibility and placement will be checked individually. Upon request, we will include a personal SilberVerse card in photo format (15 × 10 cm landscape) — individually designed to match the occasion and free of charge.
Care
Hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap; a soft cloth is sufficient. No dishwasher, no scouring powder, no silver immersion bath. Remove tarnish layers with a silver polishing cloth; in the area of the medallion, only dab lightly instead of rubbing. This tray has no gold plating that needs to be protected — the silver itself is robust and handles normal care well.
Frequently asked questions

What does 925 mean?

Can the tray be engraved?
Yes, upon review. The feasibility and placement of an engraving will be checked individually for this piece.
