Material and Workmanship

The case is made of dark brown genuine leather, hinged with a leather strap and snap fastener. Inside, six vertical leather loops securely hold each casing upright. On the outside of the hinged lid is an oval silver plate with a central medallion featuring a hunting horn and a floral oak leaf ornament, crafted in relief engraving on polished 925 silver. Each of the six shot glasses is three-part: the upper part of matte 925 sterling silver is gilded inside, below that, the casing features a stag motif in fine hand-engraved silver, and the lower ring is gilded brass with a cartridge base pattern. With this silver hand engraving, each stroke has only one chance — if a line isn't perfect, the master starts over.
