Material and craftsmanship

The interior of the bowl is completely high-gloss gold-plated – a warm, taste-neutral surface. The exterior is matte and features three symmetrically arranged niello flower clusters – one centered at the front, two on the sides. Each group depicts a hand-engraved flower with tendrils and leaves in deep-black niello filling, with one flower in each group accented in gold – the characteristic highlight of the Astra Classic line. The upper rim is gold-plated and forms the transition between the interior and exterior, while the matte pedestal also features a gold-plated trim on the lower ring. The ornaments are completely hand-engraved before the niello alloy is fired and polished.

With a 150 ml capacity, the bowl is sized for a generous portion of ice cream, chocolate mousse, panna cotta, tiramisu, or fruit salad. The pedestal visibly lifts the dessert from the table – a form of presentation that has a long tradition in Russian table culture and adds a sense of occasion to any dessert.
