Material and workmanship

The Astra Classic coffee cup consists of two harmoniously connected parts: a white, thin-walled porcelain insert and a setting made of 925 sterling silver. The setting encloses the porcelain like an elegant shell – an inner rim holds the porcelain securely in position, while the bottom of the setting remains free and the porcelain stands on its own base. The gold-plated handle is elegantly curved and allows for a secure grip. A hand-engraved niello floral band runs around the middle of the setting: floral motifs in black and gold, typical of the Astra Classic collection and crafted in elaborate niello hand-engraving by the SevChern Manufactory. The combination of white porcelain, gold-plated silver, and black niello creates a timeless contrast.

Unfortunately, there is no space on the outside for engraving, as the niello floral band occupies the entire available surface. Care

We recommend hand washing to protect the gold plating, niello band, and porcelain. After use, rinse the cup with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cloth. The high-gloss gold plating and the hand-engraved niello band are sensitive to aggressive detergents and mechanical stress in the dishwasher; the porcelain could crack at excessively high temperatures. With careful hand washing, the coffee cup will remain flawless for decades.
