Material and Workmanship

All four pieces are made of 925 sterling silver. The silver tray, with a diameter of approx. 202 mm and a height of approx. 12 mm, features a fully gilded rim, a matte center, and five symmetrically arranged niello floral groups. The matte surface prevents the carafe and glasses from sliding when served. The carafe has a bulbous body with a narrow neck, a fully gilded and airtight lid, and three niello floral groups on the body, framed by gilded rings on the neck and lower body. The cognac glass stands on its own foot with a fully gilded interior, a circumferential niello band, and a gilded foot ring. The shot glass comes without a foot, with a fully gilded interior, three niello floral groups, and a wide gilded rim. The manufacturer is from Russia.

Usage and Occasions

The tray turns serving into a small performance: carafe and glasses find their firm place on it before use. The 300 ml carafe is suitable for cognac, brandy, whiskey, or vodka, the cognac glass for swirling cognac or brandy, the shot glass for fruit brandies, vodka, liqueur, or grappa. A set for dinner parties, anniversaries, retirement, weddings, or as a gift with special appeal.

Care

After use, rinse all parts by hand with warm water and pat dry immediately. No dishwasher, no aggressive cleaners. Only gently polish the gilded surfaces and the tray with a soft cloth to preserve the gilding.
