Material and workmanship

The tray is divided into three concentric zones: The outer rim is fully gold-plated, forming a wide, shiny frame. The center remains matte-finished and calm — a neutral surface that securely holds a carafe, glasses, or teapot and shows fewer fingerprints than a high-gloss surface. In between lies a gold-plated inner ring, into which five symmetrically arranged floral ornament groups are engraved, framed by two fine lines above and below.

925 sterling silver stands for a 92.5% fineness, alloyed with copper for dimensional stability. The hallmark confirms the fineness, origin, and the SevChern manufacture. This combination of a gold-plated rim, matte center, and engraved ornament groups is characteristic of the Astra Classic line and harmonizes with other pieces from the same series.

Usage and occasions

With a diameter of 202 mm, the tray is large enough for a carafe with two glasses, for a teapot or several teacups, for a small dessert bowl, or for jewelry and small gifts. If you already own an Astra Classic schnapps set or are planning to, this tray complements the presentation into a cohesive ensemble — for dinner parties, cognac rounds, or as a gift-ready set. Those looking for more of an everyday tray without ornamentation will find a calmer alternative in the simpler silver trays in our collection.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The tray can be personalized upon inspection on the underside or rim — with a name, date, initials, or a short dedication. This personalization makes it a unique gift for weddings, anniversaries, or special occasions. For an extra personal touch, you can add a SilberVerse card: 15 × 10 cm in landscape format, designed free of charge as a unique individual item.

Care

Hand washing with warm water and a mild detergent is the best way to preserve the gold plating and engraving. Rinse with warm water after use and dry with a soft cloth. The matte center can be polished with a silver polishing cloth if necessary. With careful hand washing, the tray will remain flawless for decades.
