Teapot 925 Silver Niello 550 ml — Floralis

Anyone who places a 925 silver teapot on the table has already made a decision — about the ritual, about what tea is to mean this afternoon. The teapot from the Floralis collection is precisely this decision: 550 ml of solid silver, a floral niello ornament on a matte surface, no gilding, no distractions. Just silver and deep black niello, in a medallion pattern that rests quietly around the bulbous body.

The shape is compact and round, with a short, curved spout and a handle that lifts elegantly from the belly. The domed lid is finished with a teardrop-shaped knob — a silent, clear silhouette that allows the ornamental band to take center stage.

Material and craftsmanship

The floral band on the body of this pot — blossoms, vines, leaves in the botanical style of classical Russian silversmithing — is hand-engraved into the 925 silver. Niello is then applied: a black inlay that is fused into the engraving, ground flat, and polished – like ink in silver. No coating, no layer, no lacquer — what appears black here is part of the metal itself. There are around fifteen work steps between the initial sketch and the finished pot, from engraving and firing to the final polish. The result is permanent: in thirty years, the same black will sit on the same silver — and with every polish, the contrast deepens further.

Use and occasions

550 ml means four to five cups — a service for two to four people without needing a refill. This teapot is the starting point of the Floralis collection: you can order what you need to go with it — coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl, cups. All pieces feature the same floral niello ornament on matte silver, allowing the ensemble to grow modularly rather than ending as a rigid set. As a wedding gift, a silver teapot is a long-term statement: the couple uses it, shows it to guests, eventually passes it on — not replaced after a year, but grown richer with time. For a milestone birthday, for tea lovers who understand what 925 silver and niello mean, or as a corporate gift that needs no explanation — the Floralis teapot fits into every one of these moments.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The base of the pot offers space for a personal engraving — a date, initials, a short sentence. State your engraving request when ordering.

Upon request, we can include a personal SilberVerse card in photo format (15 × 10 cm landscape) — individually designed, suited to the occasion, and free of charge. Every card is unique.

Care

Hand wash with lukewarm water and mild detergent — no dishwasher, no silver dip bath. The niello ornament is permanently fused; normal cleaning will not damage it. The matte surface can be refreshed with a soft silver polishing cloth. Kept in the gift case, the pot is well protected between occasions.
