Material and craftsmanship

The carafe combines several techniques in one piece: a floral ornamental band runs around both the neck and the body, first hand-engraved and then filled with dark niello paste — this inlay is not a paint or coating, but a permanent bond with the silver itself, comparable to ink absorbing firmly into the metal. The lid, handle, spout, and base ring are multi-layer gold-plated, creating a warm, deep gold tone that contrasts with the polished silver. The curved, gold-plated handle is balanced in the hand and ensures controlled pouring. At nearly 680 g, the Astra Classic has a tangible substance — a sense of material value that lighter carafes cannot offer.

Usage and occasions

With a capacity of one liter, the Astra Classic is intended for festive dinners and sophisticated table culture — equally suitable for water, wine, or homemade beverages. As a gift, it is ideal for significant occasions such as weddings or anniversaries; it can be combined into a luxury gift set with other Astra Classic tableware or treated as a collector's item and heirloom to be passed down through generations.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Engraving is possible but is only carried out in direct consultation to ensure that the gold plating and niello surfaces are not damaged. It is best to contact us before ordering to discuss placement and design.

Upon request, we can include a personal SilberVerse card in photo format (15 × 10 cm, landscape) — individually designed digitally, tailored to the occasion, and free of charge. A subtle but meaningful accent for special moments.
