Material and craftsmanship

Niello is a black inlay, like ink in silver, which is fused into filigree engravings, sanded flat, and polished—the result is a deep, velvet-black contrast that brings the hand-engraved ornaments to life. Each flower is first engraved by hand into the 925 silver, after which the niello compound is applied, heated, and polished to a high sheen. The two gilded handles are shaped to be gripped comfortably without the fingers coming into contact with the matte silver body. The Astra Classic line is crafted at the SevChern manufacture.

With a capacity of 400 ml, the bowl offers space for sugar, rock candy, or even tea, jam, and small treasures—the gilded interior prevents reactions with acidic contents.
