Material and craftsmanship

The gold-plated tea strainer with its teardrop-shaped bowl is not a functional object that is easily overlooked. The handle bears floral niello ornaments – flower rosettes engraved into the silver and filled with a dark niello alloy. Due to its ergonomic teardrop shape, it sits stably on the cup and can be placed upside down on the saucer after use. The niello ornament on the handle reflects the floral band on the saucers – all seven pieces speak the same design language. The niello technique itself bonds chemically and physically with the silver: it is not a coating that flakes off, but a permanent inlay that even appears deeper in contrast when the surrounding surfaces are polished.

Usage and occasions

This set is a more complete gift – not just for couples, but for everyone who takes tea seriously. For a wedding, a shared tea ritual serves as a symbol of life together; for an anniversary, it refines a ritual that a couple already shares. At Christmas, it is a main gift for tea lovers who seem to have everything, and for a milestone birthday, it is suitable for anyone who values beauty over pure utility. Those who prepare loose-leaf tea will find the tea strainer to be a tool that does justice to the occasion.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Engraving is possible upon review, for example with initials or a date – contact us and we will advise you on which part of the set is best suited for it. Upon request, we will include an individual SilberVerse card in 15×10 cm format, with a personal message from the giver, tailored to the occasion and the recipient. The card is free of charge and is created anew for every order – simply specify this request in the order field.

Care

• Hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap, no dishwasher
• No silver dip bath – this would damage the niello inlays
• Rinse the tea strainer briefly after use and dry it with a soft cloth
• Storage in the gift box protects against tarnishing and keeps the surfaces fresh

Frequently asked questions

Can the tea strainer also be used separately?

Yes. The tea strainer fits on any cup and functions independently of the rest of the set – it is also suitable as a standalone gift for tea lovers.

Is the set suitable as a wedding gift?

Yes – a service for two people with a shared tea ritual is one of the most personal wedding gifts you can give.

Which types of tea is the strainer suitable for?

For all types of loose-leaf tea – black tea, green tea, or herbal tea. The fine holes securely retain the leaves. No strainer is needed for tea bags.
