The handle features floral Niello ornaments — rosette blossoms that have been hand-engraved into the silver and filled with dark Niello alloy. The tea strainer weighs approximately 56 grams. Its ergonomic teardrop shape allows it to rest stably on the cup. After use, it can be placed upside down on the saucer — it belongs to the set, not to the cutlery drawer.

The Niello ornament on the handle mirrors the floral band on the saucers. All seven pieces speak the same design language — as if they were never conceived separately.

SevChern produces in Veliky Ustyug, a city in the Vologda Oblast with a Niello history dating back to 1683. The geographically protected designation of origin makes genuine Ustyug Niello comparable to Champagne: it can only be produced there. The floral ornament of the Inspiration series is one of the manufactory's most characteristic motifs — timeless, recognizable, rooted in the tradition of Russian table silver.

According to the manufactory, the tea strainer is produced in over 15 steps — from casting to engraving to Niello inlay and gilding. Each piece bears the manufactory's mark, registered annually with the Russian Federal Assay Office.
