The niello forms the contours of the blossoms — black, deep, precise — and the gold fills the inside of the petals. The blossoms themselves glow, not just their frame. The main motif is framed by classic rope pattern borders, a zigzag at the neck, and a laurel frieze. Additionally, there are gilded decorative ring zones: the knob of the stopper, a wide shoulder ring, and the foot — all gilded. The result is striking both up close and from a distance.

Niello is an alloy of silver, copper, lead, and sulfur, which is melted into engraved lines, chemically bonding with the silver — not a lacquer, not a coating, but a permanent physical connection that only becomes deeper and clearer over time. Then follows the gilding of individual petals — a task requiring high-level precision.
