Children's Cup Puro 925 Silver — Cylinder, 100 ml

Sometimes the purest form is the most convincing. The Puro children's cup in 925 sterling silver completely avoids curves, ornamentation, and motifs – a strict cylinder with straight walls and a smooth handle without any decoration. "Puro" is Italian for pure, and that is exactly the concept: silver in its clearest form, without distraction.

For godparents who appreciate the statement of pure form, the Puro is the cup that wants to show nothing but itself. Grandparents who hold on to the tradition of the simple silver christening cup, as it has been presented since the 19th century, will find here its most consistent implementation. And parents with a penchant for clear, almost architectural lines appreciate exactly that: no curves, no ornamentation, no distraction from what the cup truly is.

Material and craftsmanship

The Puro is made of solid 925 sterling silver and is highly polished inside and out. The walls are perfectly straight, without bulges or tapers; the upper rim is only minimally curved – just enough to make the cup pleasant to drink from. At the bottom, it rests on a tiny, barely visible base. The handle is a simple, smooth C-arch, cleanly soldered to the cup body, entirely without scrolls or beads. The Puro is crafted by ZARAMELLA in Italy – a manufacturer whose design language consciously relies on pure lines rather than enamel or gold plating.

Occasions and target groups

The Puro is the classic silver christening cup in its purest form, as it has been presented by godparents at baptism ceremonies for generations. It is suitable for a baptism, birth, or first birthday, as well as the first tooth, a name day, or as a keepsake for other milestones. Since neither shape nor color dictates a direction, it is suitable for girls and boys alike and fits into any family tradition. It is particularly popular with families who value a modern, minimalist aesthetic.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The cylindrical shape is particularly suitable for engraving: straight lines run straight, wraparound dedications can be implemented cleanly, and the entire side surface is available – name, date of birth, baptism date, a monogram, or a multi-line dedication will find plenty of space here. The engraving is carried out after a brief consultation regarding placement, font, and text length. On request, we include with your order a complimentary 15 × 10 cm landscape format SilberVerse card: a digitally designed, unique photo card with a personal text regarding the occasion and the child.

Care

925 sterling silver is durable. After use, lukewarm water with mild dish soap is sufficient; then, dry with a soft cloth. If a light patina appears over time, a silver polishing cloth used without pressure will help – the smooth cylindrical shape makes it particularly quick to refresh because no fine ornaments complicate the polishing. The cup does not belong in the dishwasher, nor in silver baths, and should not come into contact with aggressive cleaning agents. Between occasions, it is best to store it in the gift box or a velvet pouch.

Frequently asked questions

Doesn't a cup without any motif look too simple?
The Puro is intentionally minimalist. In a selection full of motifs and embellishments, it is the design counterpart: the form itself is the design, and the entire surface is available to you for a personal engraving.

How does the Puro differ from the Classico?
Both are motif-free and weigh about the same. The Classico has a slightly bulging cylindrical shape with a decorative handle and scroll ornaments, whereas the Puro has absolutely straight walls and a completely smooth handle – the most consistent, minimalist version in the collection.

From what age is the cup suitable?
With a volume of 100 ml, a height of 6 cm, and an easy-to-grip handle, the Puro is suitable from about 6 months, as soon as a baby can sit and grasp with one hand.
