Christening spoon 925 silver gold-plated with guardian angel – engraving possible

When a child is baptized, a new chapter begins for the family — a life that from now on is meant to be under the protection of an angel, as many traditions believe. This gold-plated baptismal spoon made of 925 sterling silver bears exactly this image on its handle: a guardian angel over a heart, surrounded by small gold-plated hearts. A baptismal gift that lasts, and that becomes completely personal with an engraving.

Material and workmanship

The gold plating is applied electroplated: the silver is coated in an electrolytic bath with pure gold, creating a uniform, durable surface that contrasts with the bright silver of the spoon. On the handle stands a guardian angel with outstretched wings over a heart, below it three small gold-plated hearts — a delicate but clearly recognizable motif. The spoon belongs to the Royal Childhood design world by ArgentA and is delivered in a high-quality gift box with a gold gradient and bow.

Use and occasions

This baptismal spoon is suitable for boys and girls alike — the gold plating is gender-neutral, completely without pink or blue, which makes it particularly practical if you are looking for twins or without knowing the gender. It is a classic gift from the godfather or godmother for the baptism, just as suitable as a gift from the grandparents who want to give the child a keepsake. The guardian angel over the heart reminds of the psalm verse 'For he commands his angels to keep you in all your ways' — a line that is often quoted at baptisms and expresses the hope that the child is not alone on its path.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The back of the spoon handle offers space for an individual engraving with a name, baptismal date, or a short baptismal verse such as 'Your guardian angel accompanies you' or 'Under God's protection'. You add the Engraving Service Package directly to the cart with the spoon, we will then coordinate the wording with you. Additionally, upon request, we include a personal SilberVerse card in photo format (15×10 cm landscape format) — individually designed, matching the occasion and free of charge. More information can be found on our page about the Engraving Service.

Care

Only clean the spoon with a soft cloth and warm water, without abrasive agents or hard brushes. The gold plating does not withstand the dishwasher — the heat and detergents can damage it and make it dull. The silver underneath can tarnish slightly over time, a mild silver care product or a silver polishing cloth brings back the shine. After that, store the spoon dry, preferably in the included gift box.
