Material and Workmanship

The Non-Gilded set demonstrates how much depth pure silver can have without gilding. The floral niello pattern is incorporated into both sides of the handle — the same care on the front and back, instead of just on the visible side. The silver surface is polished to a high shine, while the niello itself remains deliberately matte: this contrast between shiny silver and matte black is the true signature of the technique, not the gilding.

Non-Gilded is part of the range from the SevChern manufactory in Veliky Ustyug, whose niello tradition has been documented since 1683. Each piece bears the 925 hallmark as a sign of authenticity.

Care

Clean the set exclusively by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, then immediately dry with a soft cloth. The dishwasher is not suitable, as aggressive cleaners can damage the niello engraving. Store the pieces in the supplied gift box with lining, protected from humidity.
