Material and craftsmanship
Both the mug and the fork are crafted from the same 925 sterling silver, each featuring the same crayfish medallion in hand-engraved niello — on the mug within a wraparound band, and on the fork on the handle. The gold plating on the handle and rim of the mug gives the piece a warmer glow than silver alone: gold, silver, and deep niello black combine to create a visual effect that cool steel or warm ceramic cannot match.
