Material and craftsmanship
The lid of the case features an engraved scene of the equestrian monument with clear, fine lines, framed by floral niello ornaments in the four corners. The engraving is executed using the niello technique: a black inlay is fused into the engraved lines, ground flush, and polished—like ink in silver; not a lacquer, but a permanent bond that even deepens the contrast between the polished silver and matte black over time. The case opens to provide space for personal use.
Use and occasions
Intended as an accessory for your pocket or a small collector's piece for a display case; not suitable for food contact. A gift with historical symbolism that is perfect for anniversaries, milestone birthdays, or as a special token of appreciation. Care
Clean by hand only with a soft, dry cloth—no abrasive cleaners and no dishwasher. Gently wipe along the niello surfaces with the cloth; do not scrub, so as to maintain the contrast between the silver and the niello.
