The paisley band on the cup of the candlestick is no coincidence — it is the same ornament that also adorns the Nielloa table mirror. The same teardrop-shaped paisley motifs, the same Niello technique, the same golden accents. When the candlestick stands next to the mirror, you immediately recognize: the two belong together. The flame in the candlestick is reflected in the mirror — silver, gold, Niello, and light in an interplay.

Svetlica — Light in its simplest form

The name "Svetlica" comes from the Russian "свет" (light) and "светлица" — a bright room, the room in an ancient Russian Isba that had the most windows and where the women worked. The candlestick bears this name because it does exactly that: making a room brighter and warmer. Not with a lamp, but with a candle — the oldest light in the world — in a holder made of the oldest precious metal in the world.

The candlestick is deliberately kept slim: 68 mm base diameter, 134 mm height. It does not dominate a table, it complements it. A standard taper candle fits into the golden cup. The wax drips onto the golden plate and can be easily removed.
