Material and craftsmanship

The spoon and fork are made of 925 sterling silver. The owl motif is visible as a fine dark outline drawing at the end of the handle — a hand-engraved niello design, in which the lines are engraved by hand into the silver and filled with a dark metal paste, so that they are permanently bonded to the surface. The bowl of the spoon is polished smooth, while the tines of the fork are rounded and child-friendly in shape. Crafted by SevChern in Veliki Ustjug.

Care

Hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap, and dry with a soft cloth. Do not put in the dishwasher — heat and harsh detergents damage both silver and niello.
