Material and craftsmanship
The dessert fork is made of 925 sterling silver and is gold-plated. At the point where the handle meets the tines is a matte, unplated silver panel engraved with the Taurus symbol — the classic astrological shorthand of a circle and curved lines reminiscent of the animal’s horns. A second, floral-decorated panel at the bottom of the handle completes the design: vines and a flower in niello on matte silver. The tines remain brightly polished and functional, ensuring that despite its decorative details, the fork remains a practical piece for the set table.
Uses and occasions
This dessert fork is equally suited to dessert at a festive table and to display in a cabinet when not in use. It makes a particularly fitting gift for a Taurus’s birthday, Mother’s Day in May, weddings, or anniversaries — any occasion when you’re looking for a gift with a personal connection to the recipient’s zodiac sign. It is also a harmonious addition to an existing silverware set.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
On request, we’ll include a personalized SilberVerse card in photo format (15 × 10 cm, landscape) — custom-designed to suit the occasion and free of charge. This piece cannot be engraved; the free SilberVerse card is available as a personalized addition.
Care
Clean by hand with lukewarm water and mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cloth. We advise against using a dishwasher or harsh silver cleaners, as they may damage the gold plating and matte silver panel. With proper care, the contrast between the gold and the bright silver panel will remain clearly visible for a long time.
