Material and workmanship

The star medallion is created in several steps: the yellow enamel is fired in layers until the desired color depth is achieved, followed by the finer elements – the blue star and the golden crown in gilding. Slight variations in color intensity are normal in true enamel art and are not a defect, but an expression of careful production in small quantities. The enamel is food-safe and adheres permanently to the silver without dulling over time. The shape and handle follow the tulip-U silhouette with Art Nouveau volutes, which is characteristic of the entire Royal Childhood collection by ArgentA.

The star as a symbol

Since early Christianity, the star has been considered a figure of light – as the Star of Bethlehem, as a guiding star, as a beacon in the dark. Detached from religious interpretation, the image works universally: "You are my little star." A child welcomed as a guiding figure for the family finds a quiet, poetic message in this motif. The golden crown above the star also connects the cup with the Royal Childhood collection and gives the little star an additional, playfully royal accent.

Care

925 Sterling Silver is durable and food-safe. Clean the cup after use with lukewarm water and mild dish soap, dry it with a soft cloth. For shine, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient if needed – work carefully around the enamel medallion, without applying pressure to the colored areas. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and the dishwasher, so that the enamel and gilding retain their color intensity permanently.

Why is the color intensity of the enamel not exactly the same on every piece?
This is due to the manufacturing process: True enamel is hand-fired in several layers, which creates minimal differences in color depth. This is typical for enamel art and not a quality defect.

Is this cup also available for girls?

Is the enamel safe for children?
