What do you give for an Orthodox christening?

In Orthodox families the christening cross is a fixed part, usually from the godparent. Added to it are an icon, a candle and a spoon. This set unites cross and spoon, both consecrated.

Partly gold-plated: where the light sits

The angel sits as a figure at the end of the handle. His halo, the moon, the heart and some of the stars are gold-plated, while the other stars and the rest of the handle stay silver. Silver and gold plating alternate.

Length 113 mm, width 26 mm, height 10 mm: that is how large the spoon is, and it weighs approx. 15 g. Together with the cross it comes to approx. 16 g of silver.

The cord that comes with the cross is white. If you would like blue or pink, a short sentence in the “order note at checkout” field is enough before you send the order. The cross measures approx. 20 mm. Trefoil ends, corpus and eyelet mark it out. The cord is missing in the photos.
