Material and workmanship

The handles of all 24 pieces are fully gold-plated and feature the identical relief floral pattern on the front and back — a sign of consistent workmanship, as simpler cutlery often only has the front decorated. The bowls of the spoons and the tines of the forks are highly polished, the knife blades are made of matte 925 silver and are functionally sharp. In contrast to the niello variants of the Astra line, Astra Lux Gold deliberately foregoes the black inlay: the contours of the floral pattern stand out instead through light and shadow in the raised relief. All pieces bear the original hallmark of the SevChern Manufactory.

With a total weight of over one kilogram, each piece feels heavy and valuable in the hand — a set that is suitable for weddings, anniversaries or moving into a shared home, as well as for regular use at family celebrations and banquets. Care

Clean the set by hand with warm water and mild detergent, immediately after use, and dry it immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid dishwashers and aggressive cleaners or abrasive agents, as these can damage the gold plating. With regular use, the gold plating develops a warm patina; a special gold polishing cloth is suitable for occasional polishing.
