Material and workmanship

All 24 pieces are made of 925 sterling silver and feature the relief pattern of the Festive collection, complemented by a Niello inlay, on the upper handle area. Niello is an ancient refinement technique: a black alloy is burned into fine, previously incised engravings and chemically-physically bonds with the silver — not a lacquer that could peel off. The dark tone of the inlay clearly contrasts with the highly polished surface and sharpens the clear lines of the relief. Over time and with regular polishing, this contrast deepens rather than fades. The surface is food-safe and therefore perfectly suitable for a set table.
