Special properties of products
Description
Deep red and warm gold merge on this small gilded brass picture frame to create a noble home accessory — compact enough for the bedside table, exclusive enough for the display cabinet.
At a glance
- Material: Brass, gilding, guilloche enamel, glass
- Color: Gold-red with an elaborate enamel pattern
- Shape: rectangular exterior, oval inner cutout
- Dimensions: approx. 8.5 × 11 × 14.5 cm (width x length x height)
- Weight: approx. 220 g
Material and workmanship
The frame is made of fully gilded brass, refined with a red guilloche enamel: a fine, repeating structure was engraved into the metal before several layers of transparent enamel were applied and fired. The result is an iridescent surface where the red appears in varying depths depending on the light. The oval inner cutout is fitted with glass and showcases any inserted photo in a classic and clear manner.
Use and occasions
Measuring approx. 8.5 × 11 × 14.5 cm, this frame is compact enough for any living space and yet prominent enough to act as a decorative highlight. It is suitable as a gift for birthdays, anniversaries or simply as a special home accessory — the color combination of gold and red is particularly appealing to lovers of exclusive photo frames and collectors of elaborate enamel objects.
Care
A soft, dry cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Aggressive cleaning agents should be avoided so that the gilding and enamel retain their shine. The glass can be gently polished with a microfiber cloth.
