Description

At a glance

- Material: 925 sterling silver
- Gold-plating: Spoon bowls and fork tines
- Handles: Silver with niello ornamentation
- Packaging: Gift box with velvet lining
Material and craftsmanship
The set is made of 925 sterling silver. The bowls of the spoons and the tines of the forks are gold-plated—these surfaces display a warm gold tone that stands in direct contrast to the silver handles. The handles themselves feature niello ornamentation: dark lines fused with the silver that are hand-engraved and not a coating. This interplay between the gold-plated functional surfaces and the silver, niello-decorated handles is the characteristic signature of this set.
Use and occasions
A set with this material contrast is suitable for weddings, anniversaries, and festive dinner occasions as well as special family meals. As a wedding or anniversary gift, it marks a special moment; as an addition to your own table setting, it provides a deliberate, elegant accent compared to an all-silver service.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
Custom engraving with initials or a monogram is possible upon review. On request, we include a complimentary 15 × 10 cm landscape SilberVerse card with your order, individually designed with your requested text.
Care
Clean the set by hand with mild dish soap and dry it promptly with a soft cloth to avoid water spots on the gold-plated surfaces. Do not use silver polish on the gold-plated bowls and tines; the silver handles with niello ornamentation are best cleaned with a soft polishing cloth. Store the set in the included velvet-lined gift box to prevent scratches.
