Material and craftsmanship

The handles made of matte 925 silver feature a niello floral group on both sides: each line is engraved into the silver, the black niello alloy is melted in, and over time, it deepens in contrast. This "ink in silver" bonds chemically and physically with the metal—not a varnish or coating that peels off, but a connection that lasts for generations. The gilding provides selective accents: the bowls of the spoons and tines of the forks are fully gilded, as are the edges and the rounded ends of the handles. The knife blades remain in matte silver—functional and in contrast to the gold. Each of the 24 pieces is hallmarked and comes from the SevChern manufactory in Russia.
